Student Work - Fractals and Chaos

Amber

Fractals Amber's picture
On page 458 of the textbook in the lower left hand corner, we find an intricate and smashing picture of a Julia Set. The picture is a -1.25 frame. I chose to duplicate this set because it looks very similar to the Bat sign. I grew up watching Batman the cartoon and my little brother was definitely a Batman fan. The hardest part in creating my own rendition of this piece was attempting to try and make all the sides equal or at least close enough to fool the human eye. I think I did a decent job. I really enjoyed creating this picture and I hope you enjoy it as well.
